Halloween Etcetera
I'm so very sorry about my long absence! I wasn't doing anything in particular, only living. I went to school, watched movies, read, knitted, thought, repeated. But anyway, I hope everyone reading has been doing well, having fun in the pretty leaves and getting ready for winter (I know the squirrels are-have you seen how fat they're getting?).
Did you have a good Halloween? I did! I dressed up as a flapper, but unfortunately I took no photos. I didn't dress up for school, though, and next year I graduate, so next year's costume will be unspeakably amazing! I'm keeping it a secret, though, so you'll have to wait till next year to find out what it is.
The immortal Coco Chanel. Possibly the original flapper. But any excuse to use her photo is a good one.
- PS. A bit of philosophy for you;
- "Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth-more than ruin-more even than death....Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man."
